The Busiest Times

Hello hello hello!

I have been back from my summer holidays for a few weeks now and it seems like there is no time to rest!

One thing at a time. I have spent the holidays back to Italy with Daniel and my family. Starting from the adventure of taking trains with the dogs from home to the south of Italy. Night train to Milan, then the beautiful Frecciarossa (I’m not being sarcastic, for once). Long journey, but actually quite comfortable!

A mix of holidays and remote working from Calabria, a very eventful weekend trip to Naples (pizza and good friends!) and family time. I hadn’t been this long in Calabria since probably my university time. And it went much better than I was anticipating! Daniel had a great time, the dogs maybe felt too hot at times (I think Emily secretly hated us at time, but thanks to Glauco for the gardens at the beach!). I got also the chance to introduce him properly to the rest of aunts/uncles and cousins. His Italian has got good, kudos to him!

I also had the chance to spend some time with some good old friends. Everyone is growing up so fast! I met the babies (including a big and lovely surprise too!)

Lots of great food of course, including the best peaches ever, courtesy of the local produce market. A sign of getting old is when you look forward to the produce market, cause things taste 10 times better and cost a third or less. But hey, no complaints!

Now we are back in Germany, back to work as usual, still with plans coming ahead (no spoilers just yet!) and looking forward to the last part of the year.

Time flies!

Cheerio!
