Sending and responding to messages of good wishes, enjoying being back home again and trying not to think of the few days left before returning to work. This is how NY day feels like today. I had a good break, being in Italy was nice, better than I had anticipated. Seeing some of the family was nice enough, always with the sprinkle of strangeness that I don’t think will ever go away. That constant reminder of the long journey I’ve gone through, that enriched me but also put distance between me and my past. I find it always almost therapeutical to see the difference, to define it for what it is without attaching a “good” or “bad” label on it and keep looking at the future.
I have a good few hopes for 2024, I like to think that there are things to look for, to work on and to improve. Whether it is regarding my job, my own self or my life with my partner and my dogs. And let’s hope some of those will end up happen 🙂
